SANDIA LABS OPENS TECHNOLOGY PARK FACILITY
Sandia and KDA Holdings Partner on Sixth Project

ATLANTA, August 7, 2002 - Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union (SLFCU) announces the grand opening of its new Technology Park branch facility. The 15,000 square foot facility also houses the La Luz Early Childhood Center that serves employees of SLFCU, Sandia Laboratories, and the Sandia Science & Technology Park.

KDA Holdings designed and built the new facility, which features 6 drive-up lanes and a minimized interior teller area. Situated on two acres, the building is finished in a traditional Southwestern style with exterior stucco. The new office in the Sandia Science & Technology Park is the sixth "bricks and mortar" branch of the credit union.

KDA designed the new branch facility with an eye toward future expansion. Until the extra space is needed, SLFCU has established a day care center for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Occupying almost 9,000 square feet, the La Luz Early Childhood Center features three playgrounds and can accommodate over 90 children.

SLFCU was founded in 1948 and is the largest New Mexico based credit union by asset size - $733 million as of June 30, 2002. The credit union serves 48,881 members nationwide, with locations in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Livermore, California. Sandia National Laboratories is the original corporate sponsor and today membership includes over 60 groups, including many of the companies located in the Park.
