With a main office and nine branches located throughout Oklahoma, SpiritBank experienced a rapid rate of growth in the 1990s. In a strategic move to leverage that growth, management opted to move into a new market – Sapulpa – and at the same time expand their main office. They trusted both business-critical projects to KDA Holdings…simultaneously.

The bank held a clear preference to keep its existing main office location in the downtown business district. But it was not possible to acquire adjacent land, and it was clear that as the branch system continued to expand, the current main office would not be able to accommodate ever-increasing operations support. KDA’s challenge: determine a solution that would sustain future growth while preserving the bank’s visible community presence.

KDA evaluated several real estate options, ultimately securing a site within mere blocks of the original main office location. As an added benefit, the site was situated within an emergent, high-momentum commerce sector – community energy that would certainly advance Spirit’s own growth aspirations. And while honoring the bank’s overall image, KDA designed the new Sapulpa branch with unique aesthetic touches in sync with the community’s warm, residential personality.
