June 1991:
the Welborn Clinic strategic plan called for a substantial expansion of
services in Evansville, Indiana. KDA Holdings was selected to work with
the clinic to evaluate all existing structures and to develop a comprehensive,
long-range master facility plan. The clinic adopted a seven-phase, five-year
plan to expand and completely renovate its facilities to accommodate growth
to a base of over 100 physicians/providers. The work included renovation
of an adjacent office building and construction of a new connector building.
Major objectives for the project were to integrate the existing space
with the new, re-engineer the patient intake system and improve patient
flow throughout the clinic. All construction was planned and phased without
disruption to ongoing operations. Overall, KDA assisted in the space needs
programming and financing and was responsible for final design, master
planning of the site work and coordination of construction.
